Let me start off by saying I was born and raised in the South, so all of The Saturday Evening Post imagery of Christmas time exists mostly in my imagination. (Although once every ten years or so we do see a sprinkling of the white stuff right around the holidays.) Even so, all of those bundled sledders, ice skaters with scarves trailing behind, and wet socks by the fireplace are as much of my idea of Christmas as someone from Pennsylvania, Illinois, or Maine.

Another omnipresent ingredient in the fabric of America’s collective Christmas unconscious are wintery seasonal scenes from the streets of New York City. Whether it’s the Snoopy balloon kicking off the holiday season during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade or the lighting of the massive Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, there’s something about Christmas in the Big Apple that all Americans feel part ownership of even though we may never have been in the City in December or at any other time in our lives.

So when actress Jennifer Love Hewitt began sharing wonderful photos from the streets of New York City this Christmas, the frigid urban Yuletide scenes kindled a little fire in my heart and I could swear my computer screen smelled of rock salt, coffee, and cinnamon. You might think I’m joking, but the Ghost Whisperer knows how to take candid photos! (Thanks in part to some sort of nostalgianator 3000 effects after the fact, but still.) Perhaps we should start calling her the Ghost Whisperer of Christmas Present

Shortly after being rejected by Ashley Hebert on the finale of "The Bachelorette", Ben Flajnik got a date proposal from Jennifer Love Hewitt but no romance blossomed between the two. During a recent conference call, the new "The Bachelor" star exposed that it was the actress who initiated the date in the first place.

"She reached out and wanted to come up to the winery, which she did," the 29-year-old from Sonoma, California opened up to reporters on Wednesday, December 14 as he promoted his ABC show's January 2 premiere. "We went out to dinner and just kind of chatted about life and the experience."

Ben continued to explain why he is not interested in dating the Samantha Horton of "The Client List". "She's a nice girl, but I wasn't - it was right in the middle of the time when I was deciding to be the Bachelor," he reasoned. "When this is all said and done, ending up with a Hollywood celebrity is not something that I want."

Back on August 2, Hewitt caused a stir with her tweet about Flajnik. "Omg! Ben f except my final rose !!! I love that ring," she tweeted at the time. "Neil lane u rock!! Happy for Ashley.... Gotta book a flight to Sonoma !!!:):)" Life & Style then reported that the actress flew to San Francisco on August 6 and had a sexy date with Ben at Lion's Pub.

One witness said, "Ben from The Bachelorette is making out with Jennifer Love Hewitt," while another claimed, "Oh yeah, Ben and Jennifer Love Hewitt appeared to be dating." When later asked about it during a radio interview, Hewitt clarified, "I was looking for something pop culture to sort of tweet about."

In Yahoo!'s year-end trend report, users searching for Jennifer Love Hewitt and Emma Watson's hairstyles outnumbered those looking for Aniston's  new 'do in the search engine's Top Celebrity Hairstyle Searches on Yahoo! in 2011.

Hewitt, who landed the number one spot on the list, underwent three hair changes this year: after cutting her hair into a shoulder-length 'do with full, blunt bangs in September, she lengthened her locks with 12-inch hair extensions a month later. And just last week, the Can't Hardly Wait actress made the switch from a rich brunette color to a deep red hue. Watson may have chopped off her hair into a cool pixie cut in 2010, but the Harry Potter star's chic crop still managed to help her nab the number 2 spot on Yahoo!'s list.

While the rest of us enjoyed turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving, Jennifer Love Hewitt was doing pilates. Filming for her new TV series, an extension of her 2010 Lifetime movie The Client List, begins in January and Hewitt wants to be in tip top shape for what is sure to be many lingerie scenes.

According to Lifetime, The Client List was inspired by a true story and debuted in 2010 on the Lifetime Movie Network. It stars Hewitt as Samantha Horton a Texas native who was a former physical therapist and homecoming queen. Shortly after Horton and her husband are laid off from their jobs, she takes a job as a massage therapist at a parlor that is a front for prostitutes. These working ladies don’t just service anyone, the parlor caters to high profile businessmen and Horton gets mixed up in all the dirty details.

With the scandalous movie turning into a TV series, Hewitt, who also produces the series, is all business prepping for her role on and off screen. She told People, "I will be in lingerie a lot, so I'll be working out. I will not be eating for the holidays." Sounds like a bummer, but I’m sure the results will be well worth it for Hewitt when the highly anticipated series hits the small screen. TV Guide reports Lifetime ordered 10 episodes of the series and will debut in 2012.
