Too matchy matchy! Jennifer Love Hewitt attempts on the colour blocking drift but overcompensates it with her matching adornments: Earlier this month she stepped out in a highly-unflattering frumpy dress that was nothing short of a fashion disaster. But while Jennifer Love Hewitt made a valiant effort to redeem herself in the style stakes she came over ever so slighty too matchy matchy as she enjoyed lunch with friends in Beverly Hills yesterday. The 32-year-old actress was showcasing the colour blocking trend in a flowing orange and cream dress with a cut out neckline.

With a pair of strappy purple, orange and cream Christian Louboutin Staratata heels on her feet she went for matching overload with a studded Talita bag by the French designer in the same colours. But while each item she was wearing was lovely as a separate and the dress complimented her curvy figure, together the ensemble verged on try-hard as she strutted to the shops following her lunch with a friend. The girls visited a number of shops including stopping off at a luxury sweet shop and perused the extravagant Easter chocolate bunnies.
While Jennifer went for spring brights her companion opted for a simple monochrome look with a black maxi skirt, white vest and a black cardigan – a look which Jennifer had tried on for size earlier the day before.
Carrying her trusty studded SS10 Louboutin bag to add a flash of colour, Jennifer looked cool in her casual attire consisting of a pair of baggy black trousers, black trainers, a white blouse with an on-trend collar and a leather biker jacket. Her latest looks were a world away from her ill-advised wardrobe disaster earlier this month.
The curvy actress was sporting a brown, red and navy printed dress which did nothing for her famous figure.
While the frock pinched in at her waist it billowed out over curvaceous hips and cut off below the knee, accentuating her shapely calves. Jennifer didn’t seem to accessorise the outfit well either, as she held onto a clashing Louis Vuitton handbag and slipped on a pair of black ballet flats. The actress has been working on a new film, Wait Till Helen Comes, which she is set to direct and produce. The film, which is currently in development, is about a 12-year-old girl who is tormented by the ghost of a little girl.
She is also positive about her love life and recently revealed that she has three engagement rings on hold at Tiffany’s, despite only having dated her boyfriend for a year. Jennifer is in a relationship with 27-year-old actor and writer Alex Beh and told Ellen DeGeneres on her daytime chat show that she wants to be prepared in the case of a proposal.
