CBS has decided to cancel several long-running shows including Jennifer Love Hewitt's. Hewitt's spooky drama Ghost Whisperer and Julia Louis-Dreyfus' comedy The New Adventures of Old Christine have been axed, both after five seasons, as part of a sweep by TV bosses. Drama Cold Case was canceled after seven seasons and Numb3rs was axed after six.
Gary Unmarried, Miami Medical and Accidentally on Purpose were also left off the network's new schedule. But it's not all bad news. There are reports that Ghost Whisperer and Christine could get picked up by another network with ABC rumored to be interested in either one or both.
